About 15DayTrial

15DayTrial is an independent consumer guide to free trials and subscriptions. The name comes from a familiar pattern: you sign up for a two-week trial, life gets busy, and on day 15 a charge appears. We want to help you stay one step ahead.

What we cover

  • How to start free trials safely and cancel on time.
  • Step-by-step cancellation on major platforms — iPhone and iPad, Android, PayPal, and directly with companies.
  • Simple systems for tracking renewals.
  • Your rights when you are charged anyway, including credit and debit card dispute rules.
  • The current state of subscription laws — including the fact that the FTC's 2024 click-to-cancel rule was vacated in 2025.

How we work

We write from official sources whenever possible: platform help centers from Apple, Google, and PayPal; consumer guidance from the FTC and CFPB; and the text of federal laws. Menus and policies change frequently, so each guide links to official pages where you can confirm the latest steps.

What we are not

15DayTrial is not a law firm and does not provide legal advice. We are not affiliated with Apple, Google, PayPal, any bank, or any card network, and we do not accept payment to cancel subscriptions on your behalf. If you need help with a specific dispute, your state attorney general's consumer protection office is a good free starting point.
